Even September is maybe not the best birdwatching month in southern Europe and to watch Brown Fish Owls in Turkey, our Guide did a lot for us to see as many species we wanted to see. Not all was successful, but we tried many alternatives from 9 o`clock am until 2 o`clock in the next morning! Brown Fish Owl we could not see because of several unfavourable conditions like windy weather and picnic people in the area of resting Fish Owls, but we heard Female callings from a valley. The Guide was patient, friendly and very helpful! We saw more than 50 species in one day. Target areas were the mouth of the river Manavgat, the river Manavgat in the Taurus Mountains and the area around Akseki. Thanks a lot!!!!

Man kann den Fischuhu aus nächster Nähe betrachten und sehr schön fotografieren. Der Guide ist super, sehr fachkundig und hilfsbereit. Ich hab noch eine weitere Tour nach Akseki mit ihm gemacht und auch das war fantastisch. Nächstes Jahr werde ich das nochmal machen. Absolute Empfehlung!

I successfully saw the Brown Fish Owl on a privately booked boat trip early on 6 Jul 14. Ozcan from Vigo Tours arranged the transfers to and from the airport and the boat trip. All went well and to plan - it was excellent and well worth the money.

Although the trip was rather expensive - I very nearly decided not to go! It was well organized Vigo tours stayed in touch, responded quickly to emails and were well organized and friendly. Seeing 5 Brown fish owls was fantastic the views were good with plenty of time to watch the birds.

Amazing trip to see theese fantastic birds! Everything worked perfect with the pick-up at the hotel in Side at 04.00, transport to the ferry and the short boat trip in the dark to wait for the dawn and the owls. Even before dawn we saw the pair coming to rest in a tree, and then spent an hour or two watching them around their nest and in nearby trees on the mountain side. We also heard tawny owl and scoops owl calling from the boat. We did our trip the 14 of may 2012.

Wonderfull birds in a Wonderfull site.
A private boat allowed superb observations.
The guide from Vigo tours was friendly and aknowledgeable.
