Cappadocia tour from Side: 3-Day Trip to Unesco World Heritage Site Cappadocia - Vigo tours

** Cappadocia trip is a very costly tour as a tour operation. Our tour operation concept is to keep the tour participation fee low and to earn from the extras during the tour. Our most important extra income is the hot air balloon tour in Cappadocia (in case of reservation). For this reason, it is not accepted by us that you join a tour with us and book a balloon from another company in Cappadocia. All Cappadocia tours from the Antalya region (Side, Kemer, Alanya, Antalya and Belek) are the same. Cappadocia Balloon tour reservations can be made through our tour guide on the first day of the tour. **

60 million years ago, the volcanic mountains of the region, Erciyes, Güllüdağ and Hasan Mountain began to form Cappadocia with volcanic lava erupted. Today, 3 mountains are not active, but Cappadocia is quite active as a place worth seeing. Today Cappadocia is one of the world's leading balloon tour centers.

The civilizations created by people who lived hundreds of years ago, a mystical atmosphere dating back to the early years of Christianity, the symbol of the resistance of faith against oppression, starts in Aksaray, which is decorated with underground cities, churches and monasteries, passes through Nevşehir and Niğde, and ends in Kayseri. All these lands are known in history as Cappadocia. But the most beautiful examples of this region, the most surprising views around Nevşehir. Ürgüp, Göreme, Ihlara Valley, Zelve, Avanos hosts the most spectacular geography of Cappadocia.

Cappadocia , which is a world wonder, is an excellent picture drawn on the earth's surface by the nature!

Cappadocia will fascinate you very deeply!

Cappadocia is the UNESCO World Heritage site and Cappadocia, in other words Katpatuka means the Land of Beautiful Horses. Set deep in the heart of central Anatolia, this region is underlain by majestic rocks formed in lakes and streams and by deposits that erupted from ancient volcanoes approximately 3 to 9 million years ago.

The fairy rocks of Cappadocia near Göreme eroded into hundreds of spectacular pillars and minaret-like forms. Carved into houses, churches and monasteries by the people of the villages at the heart of the Cappadocia region the soft rock volcanic deposits are a marvel to observe.

Our Cappadocia tour will bring you to the caravanserai built on the ancient trade routes as well as to the underground city of Saratli Kirkgöz. Spend a day exploring the rock houses at Uchisar castle and pigeon valley, which is full of dovecotes. While travelling to Cappadocia observe Cavusin Village rock houses and rock church and pay a visit to the onyx workshop and handicraft carpet production centre.

Day 1: Travel to Cappadocia

Hotel pick-up in Side, followed by transfer to Taurus Mountains in the Alpine belt of Central Anatolia. In about 1,5 hour after breakfast you will visit the Mevlana Museum at Konya City. Next stop is the Caravanserai and the underground city of Saratli Kirkgöz. Arrive in Cappadocia and check into hotel for the evening.

Day 2: Full day tour in Cappadocia

Spend the day exploring Cappadocia and the Devrent Valley region. The day includes visits to the Pasabag Valley, Göreme Valley and town of Göreme, a beautiful town nestled among the fairy chimneys. After lunch travel to Cavusin Village. You have also an extra option to visit dervish show and Turkish Night Show.

Day 3: Return home

Return to the coast of Side. We will visit the town of Avanos, famous for its earthenware pottery. See Kizilirmak River, the longest river of Turkey (1355 km). We will stop at a pottery centre and visit the "3 Beauties" fairy chimneys. Enjoy a lunch break at Aksaray on the famous Silk Road trade route.

This is a wonderful Cappadocia trip full of amazing scenery, rich in history and culture that you will definitely remember for the rest of your life.

Erster Stop in Konya- Mevlanamuseeum.

This trip was well organised. Our guide Akman was friendly and helpful and his knowledge about the area was excellent. Was a little dissapointed with the Whirling Dervish show but the Turkish night outing was superb. The highlight of the trip was the balloon ride, although an early start was worth every penny. The 4 star hotel was delightful with excellent food included. Obviously on such trips there is always visit to the carpet and jewellery shops but that's expected for the countries economy. I would deffinatley recommend this company and will use again on future trips.
Also the driver was alert and careful.
“Fantastic!”

Great tour guide. Great group. Wonderful sights ams you cannot bray the price. However, the extras become a little expensive. The Balloon trip is a "must", even if you have to get up early for a 5 am sunrise liftoff.

It was the start of season and we were the only English people on trip the rest were German. The guide done his best to let us no what was going on. Got a upgrade to a 4 star hotel which was worth it. Trip was very good worst thing about it was you have to stop at government shops eg. Carpet factory,s onyx,s factory,s leather shops etc. still was a good trip good value and worth seeing,

Things started badly; the local guide failed to collect us and their office number wasn't being answered. We were on the point of sorting out staying in our side hotel when finally some 90 minutes after the pick up contact time was made. Vigo tours went out of their way - actually some 150 miles out their way by providing a personal minibus to catch the tour at their lunch spot ! I would thoroughly recommend the 3 day tour; great landscapes, good range of sites visited ( although the inevitable pottery, leather, stone and carpet visits get tedious) with sufficient breaks. Good lunches at the buffets and a surprisingly good 4 star hotel option upgrade for just 24 euro. Pleasant town square, hotel has a pool. The folklore evening venue was rather crowded but dancers well choreographed. Cappadocia definitely worth the trip.
Our recommendation - telephone the office the day before to remind them which hotel you are in - make sure they have the EXACT name !!

“Highly recommended; get what you pay for....exhausting but beautiful.”

“Highly recommended; get what you pay for....exhausting but beautiful.”
If you're expecting any real depth to the trip, you will be disappointed, but, as long as you are aware that it's a highlights at a glance tour, you should love it. There's a lot of getting on and off the bus, for scenic stops and comfort breaks, almost all at tourist areas with local sellers trading their wares. It's exhausting, but breathtakingly beautiful and a great introduction to the region.

There may be additional expenses for extras that you would like to do, for example a Dervish ceremony and be prepared to spend some extra money on drinks and things, such as the lunchtime meal (which was great by the way).

Hotel wise, if you expect hot water and clean sheets, you won't go far wrong.... to be frank, you'll robably be so tired you won't have time to look too closely!

Our trip was with local company Vigo Tours, who I can highly recommend for their organisation and attitude. I would not hesitate to travel with them again.

Leider konnten wir für den Preis nicht in die Felsenkirchen in Göreme.
