Unforgettable 3 Day trip to Cappadocia from Antalya - Vigo Tours

[Cappadocia trip is a very costly tour as a tour operation. Our tour operation concept is to keep the tour participation fee low and to earn from the extras during the tour. Our most important extra income is the hot air balloon tour in Cappadocia (in case of reservation). For this reason, it is not accepted by us that you join a tour with us and book a balloon from another company in Cappadocia. All Cappadocia tours from the Antalya region (Side, Kemer, Alanya, Antalya and Belek) are the same. Cappadocia Balloon tour reservations can be made through our tour guide on the first day of the tour.]

Spend a magical 3 days exploring the fascinating rock formations of magical Cappadocia in order to discover the most intriguing landscapes on Earth! A big experience of an another world in the world! You will love our 3 Day trip to Cappadocia from Antalya so much!

Cappadocia, in other words Katpatuka means Land of Beautiful Horses.

Do you know how hard it is to describe this magical land, whose name is so fairy? It is very difficult to bring together the proper words to describe the monasteries, churches, houses, underground cities carved into the rocks, fairy chimneys and valleys that resemble another planet.

Set deep in the heart of central Anatolia, the magical region is underlain by sedimentary rocks formed in lakes and streams and by ignimbrite deposits that erupted from ancient volcanoes approximately 3 to 9 million years ago.

The fairy rocks of Cappadocia near Göreme eroded into hundreds of spectacular pillars and minaret-like forms. Carved into houses, churches and monasteries by the people of the villages at the heart of the Cappadocia region the soft rock volcanic deposits are a marvel to observe.

This tour will bring you to the caravanserai built on the ancient trade routes as well as to the underground city of Saratli Kirkgöz. Spend a day exploring the rock houses at Uchisar castle and pigeon valley, which is full of dovecotes. See Cavusin Village rock houses and rock church and pay a visit to an onyx workshop and handicraft carpet production centre.

Give us a chance to show you that this area is really worth it to visit. Hurry up to get amazing impressions by booking this wonderful tour from Antalya hotels with full of beautiful scenery and rich in history and culture which you will always remember for the rest of your life.

Day 1: Drive to Cappadocia

Hotel pick-up followed by transfer to Taurus Mountains in the Alpine belt of Central Anatolia. About 1,5 hour after breakfast you will visit the Mevlana Museum at Konya City. Next stop is the Caravanserai and the underground city of Saratli Kirkgöz. Arrive in Cappadocia and check into hotel for the evening.

Day 2: Full day tour in Cappadocia

Spend the day exploring Cappadocia and the Devrent Valley region. The day includes visits to the Pasabag Valley, Göreme Valley and town of Göreme, a beautiful town nestled among the fairy chimneys. After lunch travel to Cavusin Village. In the evening there is the optional extra of a whirling dervish show and Turkish Nights show.

Day 3: Return home

Return to the coast, we will pause at the town of Avanos, famous for its earthenware pottery. See Kizilirmak River, the longest river of Turkey (1355 km). We will stop at a pottery centre and visit the "3 Beauties" fairy chimneys. Enjoy a lunch break at Aksaray on the famous Silk Road trade route.

The trip was amazing. This is a cultural tour and it is definitely worth it. Erhan was the most excellent guide and Yaqoob a great driver. Everything was proffesional and on time. We had tons of fun as a group too. Highlu recommended in December. You get to see everything at a very relaxed and friendly pace. The food everywhere was amazing. The extra pay for the shows are well worth it. Especially Turkish Nights. The hotel was great. The whole trip was something to remember and certainly a once in a lifetime experience for me. Just be careful with some of the professional artisans that have special rip off prices.

We were concerned that a 3 day trip out of our 1 week stay Antalya might be too tiring but it wasn't and Cappadocia is well worth the visit. Everything ran smoothly and on time. The activities were well planned. The guide gave us all the necessary information without being boring. He showed us all the interesting landmarks- more than you could possibly visit on your own. We had a camel safari at sunset- unforgettable.
The hotel and the restaurant were good, too. Must try!

3 days very well structured, you keep on driving through beautiful sceneries, stopping at the best spots, you have the chances to see cute small villages where they do hand made souvenirs very cheap. Our 14 people group was nice the guide Mahmud too always asking if we wanted to stop. I forgot my bag of souvenirs which was precious for me and the company even though is based in Alania found the way to take it to me to Antalya with no extra charges. I was very very happy.
You overnight 2 days in a stunning hotel close to Cappadocia where they do the balloon trip, the landscape is unbelievable there. Breakfast and dinner buffet was amazing too.
Absolutely recommended, you wouldn't be able to see so many nice things in 3 days if suppose you decide to go on your own. Only Mahmud knows where to take you ;-) I would have skipped the visit and the leather store, very expensive items and not very nice.

This tour was simply amazing...the sights were really breathtaking and there was a good mixture of guided activities and free time. There was a lot of driving involved but the guide did well to break it into small chunks.

The biggest surprise was the quality of the hotel. ..it was a cave themed and was excellent.

The only downside is that there were a lot of very expenaive extras (evwn lunch) but I still had a great time without any extras! I loved the tour so much I bought a similar trip for the next day

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We saw the most amazing land formations - like something out of a sci-fi movie. It was a long 3 days but well worth it. The company went out of their way to pick us up from our hotel in Kemer, which was a good hours journey outside of the normal route. However, the coordination could have been a bit better so that we did not have to wait so long to meet the main tour bus. The only criticism was our tour guide who was rather abrupt and lacked the usual courteous manner that most of the local people showed us. Otherwise, I would have given this an 'excellent'. This was more than made up for the our touring companions who were all interesting and fun people.
As for the hotel and food, well we did not expect much, considering the price. We also went to the extra Dervish ceremony and Turkish Night which were great. Altogether, it was a really amazing and I would definitely recommend it. :)

I had to buy two tickets to take this trip and was cramped in a small bus for the 8 hours to Cappadocia, with my bag on my lap. I was expecting a big bus, but this was not the case. We upgraded to a 4 star hotel and had to pay for water and coffee at meals, and the internet didn't work. When we went to the carpet factory one of the men who showed us the carpets made an inappropriate sexual comment to me. Because of this I chose to not attend the Traditional Turkish dancing event of which I had paid for. I was told that I would not be reimbursed for this. So I ended up paying for two people and there was not two seats, and I had to pay for an even that I didn't attend. I tried talking to the company and they said that the guide had tried to give me an extra seat, but everyone but myself and another man were a couple, so I am not sure how he would have given me an extra seat. I was going to be with these people for three days so I didn't make waves.

This was one of the best trips I have ever been on anywhere. For a start the guide and the driver were magnificent. The guide was very informative and took time to explain all aspects of the tour of which there were many. In three days we were taken to all the main and important sights of Cappadocia. The driver took us on dirt track roads to ensure we had the best views of the region. The rock formations had to be seen to be believed as they were so unusually spectacular with something amazing to see around every corner. The highlight was the hot air balloon trip on the last day. Words cannot sufficiently describe this experience as it was so amazing and all capped by seeing the rising of the sun in spectacular fashion . The landscape of Cappadocia looked even better from the air as if anything could have improved on the sights we had witnessed on the first two days of the tour. The overall cost of the tour was excellent value which included a two night stay in a comfortable hotel.

The price is very inexpensive but unfortunately I felt like being trapped. There was no other possibility to eat somewhere else than foreseen. We had to visit several shops which was not always pleasant to be because they were very aggressive sellers. The prices at the shop where too expensive and not at all unique and authentic as promised. Next time I would rather pay more and have Cappadocia in the focus not the shops.

So konnte man alles bequem besuchen.
