The area where Pamukkale Travertines are located is a thermal area with many hot water resources. The temperature of the hot water springs in seventeen different areas varies between 35 degrees and 100 degrees. These spring waters have been used especially in the field of health since ancient times. The hot water in the region comes from the source to the top of the travertine. The length of the channels that carry the hot waters to those hills is approximately 320 meters.

Did you know that the terraces of this incredible nature masterpiece have been a part of the spa for a whopping 1000 years? These terraces are made up of carbonate minerals that have been deposited by the spa water. What's even more impressive is that this place is listed as one of the 29 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, thanks to its amazing blend of natural and cultural features.

The healing waters of Pamukkale will give you pure energy and beauty!

Pamukkale / Hierapolis rank among one of the oldest thermal cities of the world. Named the Cotton Fortress (pah-MOOK-kah-leh) in Turkish, it has been a spa since the Romans built the spa city of Hierapolis around a sacred warm-water spring. TheAntique Pool is still there, littered with marble columns from the Roman Temple of Apollo. You can swim in it for a fee.

Pamukkale, known as Turkey's ultimate mineral-bath spa, is a true gem of natural beauty. It boasts breathtaking sights where hot springs filled with calcium-rich waters gush out from the earth and cascade down a magnificent cliff. As the waters gradually cool, they create stunning travertine terraces made of bright, hard, and gleaming white calcium, shaping delightful pools that are simply enchanting.

Well worth a visit. The terraces you must enter without shoes. It is pleasant to be into the water but the stones hurt. The cleopatra pool is very hot but also pretty crowded space, non the less worth the experience. The ancient city Hierapolis is impressive but under the bare sun it was hard to walk around to see all of it.

For this tour the only thing you pay for is the drive from and to your hotel and the dinner, so all other expenses you still have to carry (entrance of pamukkale, breakfast and lunch and if you want also the cleopatra pool)!!
